Video footage that surfaced recently showed a California liquor store owner shooting a person who was attempting to rob the spot.
The alarming surveillance footage from Norco Market & Liquor showed a masked person entering the store around 2:47 a.m. this past Sunday with an assault rifle pointed at the owner.
80-year-old store owner Craig Cope pulled a shotgun on the suspect moments after the robber yelled “Freeze, hands in the air.” Cope fired off a shot immediately and hit the person in the arm. In other footage that surfaced, the first suspect running away from the man can be heard saying, “He shot my arm off!” The four suspects involved were tracked down according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. They said one person had a wound consistent with a shotgun blast.
Craig Cope’s wife reportedly suffered a heart attack after the shooting but is expected to fully recover. Take a look above.
