Sometimes lightning can strike twice and in the case of a certain news correspondent in particular, so can a vehicle.
Tori Yorgey of WSAZ was hit by a car during an on-air conversation with the news anchor from her team about a water main break in Dunbar, West Virginia. Yorgey was not injured and the driver returned to apologize for the accident. While the outgoing news reporter playfully dismissed the incident, news anchor Tim Irr was visibly monotone in his response as his facial expressions hardly changed throughout the entire ordeal.
Nevertheless, Tori Yorgey narrowly escaped an occurrence that could have been disastrous on live TV. She even stated that this was not the first time she had been hit by a car during a news segment when she laughingly cited a similar occurrence from her days as a college student.
