The video shows Evander walking into the garage while holding a gun. He points the gun in the air before pointing it towards Anna.
“Pointing a loaded gun at me,” Anna wrote in the caption on the video before adding, “Psycho path.”
The 30-year-old hockey pro and his attorneys claim Anna posted the video out of context. Evander’s lawyers added that Anna’s latest claim is another attempt “to defame Evander in the public eye.”
“She posted videos, taken intentionally out of context, from a professional photoshoot both parties participated in back in 2020,” Evander’s attorneys said in a statement. “Her conduct, unfortunately, is consistent with her prior actions throughout this [divorce] case. Each time, we hope it will be the last. Each time, we strive to keep the peace and put the best foot forward. Each time, Evander is exonerated and Ms. Kane’s allegations are unsubstantiated. Evander continues to hope Ms. Kane gets the help she needs, and requests privacy for everyone involved.”
Since Anna filed for divorce in July, both parties have smeared each other in the press. Earlier this year, Evander was investigated by the NHL after Anna accused him of gambling on games, and even throwing games, for profit. The NHL ultimately didn’t find proof of her allegations.
Evander has accused Anna of physical abuse and faking a pregnancy, while Anna has accused Evander of sexually and physically assaulting her. Evander was waived by the San Jose Sharks last month and denies all allegations.
