Home security footage captured a homeowner’s fight with an intruder posing as an Amazon delivery man.
The incident occurred in the United Kingdon, in July 2020, when 32-year-old Vicente Forde approached the residence with an empty box and a shotgun hidden underneath his yellow jacket. When the homeowner opened the door, Forde pulled out the gun before the resident grabbed it and wrestled it out of the criminal’s hands.
During the struggle, Forde threatened to stab the victim unless he let go of the gun. However, the homeowner yelled for help and threw the shotgun underneath a car. Several bystanders assisted the victim during his struggle and helped restrain Forde until police arrived. The victim was later transported to a hospital to have his broken nose and bruises treated.
On Monday, Forde pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence. He also pleaded guilty to possession of a prohibited weapon and possession of a firearm by a person prohibited in an earlier court appearance. Forde is scheduled to be sentenced on July 29.
