Snoop Dogg’s Daughter Says Getting Called ‘Fat & Ugly’ Led to Suicide Attempt

Snoop Dogg’s 21-year-old daughter revealed her struggles with mental health, this past weekend, with an Instagram post letting her followers know she recently attempted suicide.

On Monday, Cori Broadus posted a follow-up video elaborating on the topics addressed in her original post. She admitted that getting teased on her looks, complexion, and weight made her contemplate suicide as early as 13-years-old.

“People used to always talk about me, ‘You’re fat, you’re ugly, you’re dark, you’re this, you’re that.’ And I used to cry,” Cori said. “At 13, I was ready to die. Just so sad, crying to my mom like, ‘I’m so ugly, why did you have me? Why do I look like this? Why don’t I look like my brothers?’ It was just so many why, why, why’s.”

In her video post, Cori talked about becoming more appreciative and less concerned with material possessions. She also explained that being the child of a celebrity doesn’t make her life easier or better than anyone else’s.

“Just because you have money and just because you’re able to do certain things that other people can’t do, that doesn’t mean you don’t have a heart, a mind, a soul,” she said. “I go through it just like everybody else. It don’t matter cause my dad is rich, I drive a Toyota Corolla and I am content.”
