Police in Memphis are preparing for retaliatory crimes following Young Dolph’s fatal shooting earlier on Wednesday. Law enforcement has already shut down and surrounded the strip mall where one of Dolph’s rap rival’s restaurant is located.
After reports confirmed Young Dolph’s death, social media rumors claimed Yo Gotti’s restaurant, Prive, was shot up as well as Blac Youngsta’s grandmother’s house. The rumors were proved to be false, but the police have still decided to guard Prive until tensions calm.
Young Dolph was gunned down outside of a Memphis cookie store about 10 miles away from Yo Gotti’s restaurant. Young Dolph was previously engaged in a rap beef with Yo Gotti and Blac Youngsta. One witness claimed Dolph was at the store when a vehicle pulled up and shot at the rapper. Scott Hall, Young Dolph’s lawyer and friend, claimed the rapper stopped at the cookie before a scheduled appearance to hand out turkeys.
The identity of Young Dolph’s killer is currently unknown and there have been no reports tying Yo Gotti or Blac Youngsta to the incident. Young Dolph was 36 at the time of his death and is survived by two children.
