A Rhode Island woman was dragged from her car and beaten in front of her eight-year-old daughter after she honked at a group of dirt-bike and ATV riders for blocking the road earlier this week.
The 35-year-old victim reportedly honked at the group when they blocked the road for two full cycles of traffic lights. She was then chased and surrounded before multiple riders opened her door, removed her from her vehicle, and beat her in the middle of the street as her daughter watched.
A cell phone video captured the attack and showed the victim on her knees as she was held by her hair and punched in various areas of her body. Her top is also halfway removed as various dirt-bike and ATV stood by and watched the beating.
While the woman’s injuries were unknown, 24-year-old Shyanne Boisvert was arrested and charged for the attack on Thursday. She was arraigned Friday morning and charged with assault and disorderly conduct.
Boisvert was also denied bail for violating her parole from a January incident in which she was sentenced to one year of probation and 20 hours of community service. In that case, she was accused of blocking traffic on her bike and pushing an officer.
