Previously, it was revealed Memphis rapper Snootie Wild was in critical condition after being shot. Details related to the shooting were limited, but it was known he was shot in the neck in Houston, Texas. Following the shooting, the artist wasn’t confirmed to be dead, and official social media accounts for Snootie made that clear.
Now, the loss of the rapper was confirmed via his Instagram page. The post for the late rapper said, “Gone in body, but your NAME & LEGACY will live forever! 💙” The Houston Police Department have reportedly gotten a hold of footage they are reviewing, revealing what happened to the rapper. “It looks like he backed in there (the ditch) accidentally. Then the other vehicle pulled up, and folks got out of the car. They were talking for a little bit, and then all of a sudden, gunfire went off. Only one shot, actually,” said Houston Police Department Lt. R. Wilkens. As of now, police haven’t identified any suspects.
Snootie Wild was known for his “Yayo” track featuring Yo Gotti. The CMG boss co-signed the rapper following his release from prison after Snootie approached him at a wing spot. Condolences to the family of Snootie Wild.
