Man Shot in the Head During Ongoing Protests in Kenosha, WI, Two Dead

As protests continue in Kenosha, Wisconsin, after police shot 29-year-old James Blake, two people were killed and one wounded on Tuesday (August 25) night.

Police are currently hunting for a man seen on cellphone footage opening fire in the middle of a street with a rifle. The shooting occurred just before midnight, leaving one victim shot in the head and another in the chest. The third victim’s wounds were not believed to life-threatening.

James Blake’s attorney, Benjamin Crump, gave an update on his condition, revealing, “The medical diagnosis right now is that he is paralyzed and because those bullets severed his spinal cord and shattered some of his vertebrae… it is going to take a miracle for Jacob Blake Jr. to ever walk again. He is currently in surgery as we speak, still struggling to sustain his life and to hopefully become some resemblance of the man he once was.” Attorney Patrick Salvi added that “nearly his entire colon and small intestine” had to be removed after he sustained damage to his kidney and liver.
