20-year-old Trevone Miller reportedly pleaded guilty to first-degree murder along with fire enhancement. Previously, Miller had a capital murder charge, but his sentence was reduced in exchange for a 50-year sentence.
Court documents in the case said that Miller fatally shot 17-year-old Braylen Stone, a trans teenage girl, in June 2020. Stone was shot by Miller to “keep Ms. Stone from revealing that they were in a sexual relationship.” Reports noted Miller was 18 at the time of the shooting. Miller is now 20 years old.
Reports noted Miller has to serve 35 years before he can qualify for parole. This isn’t the first time Miller was wrapped up in a murder of a teenager, as he was charged with capital murder in the shooting of Bryan Thompson in 2016.
