Amazon Reportedly Offers $50K Reward After Nooses Found Hanging At Facility

The rise of alleged racism at work sites has been ramping up, with NASCAR racer Bubba Wallace previously calling out an alleged noosehe spotted hanging in his garage. Now, Amazon is reportedly moving to get a situation under control, where nooses were hung and found at one of their construction sites in Connecticut.

In an incident that went down earlier in May, authorities noted five nooses were found hanging inside an unfinished facility for the company. A noose was found at the end of April 2021 by a supervisor, who then made employees take an anti-discriminatory training. Despite the training, more nooses arrived days later.

Amazon issued a statement on the matter, saying “Amazon remains deeply disturbed by the incident that occurred in Windsor a couple of weeks ago. Hate, racism, and discrimination have no place in our society and are not tolerated in any development associated with Amazon— whether it be under construction like this one, or fully operational.” Since then, Amazon and developer RC Anderson LLC both put up $25,000—a $50,000 reward for information related to the harmful incident.
